Palas Cerequio

Set in the heart of Barolo among the UNESCO-protected vineyards of the Langhe Hills, Palás Cerequio is an intimate wine resort created by Michele Chiarlo and his family. Built within a restored 18th-century hamlet, it offers a quiet retreat where architecture, terroir, and contemporary design converge, with just nine suites overlooking some of the most celebrated vineyards in Piedmont. Suites are divided into two styles: the “Past” suites draw inspiration from Baroque aesthetics, featuring antiques, vaulted ceilings, and opulent textures, while the “Future” suites present a modern, minimalist atmosphere with spa-like bathrooms, wellness features, and clean architectural lines. Each suite offers vineyard views, refined materials, and a sense of curated serenity. Wine is central to the experience. The resort houses a collection of over 6,000 bottles, including historic Barolo vintages dating back to 1958. Guests can enjoy private tastings, verticals, and terroir-focused experiences highlighting Michele Chiarlo crus such as Cerequio and Cannubi. Vineyard tours, truffle-hunting excursions, cooking classes, and art-driven experiences connect visitors to the cultural and agricultural heritage of the region. Breakfast is served à la carte in-room or in the courtyard, featuring regional Piedmontese ingredients. Wellness amenities include private chromotherapy showers, Turkish baths in select suites, and access to a panoramic garden and outdoor pool.
